Remove plastic fasteners that secure the door panel / trim piece without damage.

Place the tool under the edge of the door panel / trim piece, and insert into fastener as far as possible then simply pry up.

Distinct pivot point is designed for appropriate leverage and to discourage twisting that may damage panel or trim piece.
